Police launched a search yesterday for the killers of Charley Dume and Selwyn “Gubbs” Carter.
Both men died within a few hours of each other, in separate incidents.
Dume was shot multiple times on Friday around 6 p.m. by an unknown man whilst at a bar at the corner of Nelson Street and Wellington Street, The City. He died at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital yesterday morning.
As for Carter, his body was discovered at about 7 a.m. yesterday lying on the floor of a shed located at the rear of a house in Christ Church. He died of suspected stab wounds.
Last night, police public relations officer Inspector David Welch said detectives were following up on a number of leads in both crimes, and would be actively working to solve them. (SP)
