DISASTER AGENCES IN the Caribbean will have a new application just in time for the 2014 Hurricane Season thanks to the Red Cross Society.
Word of this comes from Director General of the Red Cross Society Edmond Bradshaw who said the hazard application, which should be available from June 1, will allow first responders to get vital information on their cell phones and other smart devices.
Bradshaw said individuals can get updates, information on how to respond and cooperate with one another during a disaster, and other useful information. He said they expect to widen capacity in the near future to include areas of health and to facilitate training. (YB)
