Warning

“Anytime I see dissension and discord, I am coming for this church!”
That warning came from Archbishop Aaron Granville Williams, the eldest son of late Patriarch Dr Granville Williams, as he delivered the sermon at his father’s funeral yesterday.
In a message entitled Try The Other Side, Williams sought to thwart any wrangling or friction that could undermine the stability of the work at the Sons of God Apostolic Spiritual Baptists Church that his father built from scratch in the 1950s here in Barbados.
Dressed in a resplendent gold and red robe with matching headdress, which he took off during his address, Williams, who lives with his family in Trinidad, was a man about his father’s business.
“You can’t let this work that he has built go down the drain foolishly,” he cautioned the hundreds of followers, specially invited guests and other mourners who packed the church’s headquarters sanctuary, Jerusalem Cathedral, in Ealing Grove, Christ Church.
He continually implored the church to stay on the right side, reminding members of the sacrifices his father made to get to this point.
