A MAN WHO WAS wanted by the police has been captured and a woman arrested for assisting him.
Andre Clyde Cave was held by police during an operation in Cane Garden, St Thomas on Monday. The 35-year-old, whose last known address was Fairfield Cross Road, Tudor Bridge, St Michael, is assisting police “with a major investigation”.
At the same time, Police arrested and charged 28-year-old Leilani Johnson of No. 128 Platinum Avenue, Cane Garden for assisting Cave. She has also been charged with possession of cannabis.
Both Cave and Johnson were held after police intercepted a car she was driving. A search of the car revealed eight Ziploc bags with a quantity of cannabis and a grey piece of plastic with a loose quantity of cannabis.
Johnson appeared in District D Magistrates Court today and was released on $10 000 bail. She was not required to plead. The case has been adjourned until September 11. (PR/SAT)
