Readers reach out to Compton

I?WANT?to thank all the people who called and assisted Pauline Compton whose plight was highlighted in It Matters to Maria last month.
The 61-year-old, who is well known for her contributions on call-in radio programmes, has been going through difficult times and had not been able to secure much needed medication on concessional terms because she is not a citizen of Barbados.
Readers of this column provided her with groceries and cash while one person also offered her employment.
The NATION’s editorial department also donated a basket of goods to Compton who expressed her gratitude to everyone who assisted her.
