TWO OF THE MAIN PLAYERS in the ongoing saga with workers at the National Conservation Commission (NCC) are looking for a resolution by the end of next week.
Both acting Minister of Labour Maxine McClean and NCC General Manager Keith Neblett are working on that timeline.
Neither went into details, but they revealed there is agreement on the way forward.
The marathon meeting, which started just before 11 a.m., concluded at 6:40 p.m.
It also included representatives from the Barbados Workers’ Union and the National Union of Public Workers. They are discussing the retrenchment of almost 200 workers from the NCC.
Another meeting between the NCC and the two unions is to be held on Monday. (YB)
