Financial management is not the only important item that should be on the agenda of today’s business leaders.
Creating a culture of accountability is also important and as a result, Caribbean Catalyst Inc. said, this was an issue in need of discussion.
To this end Caribbean Catalyst is holding a one-day workshop in partnership with ANSA McAL (Barbados) Limited. It will be facilitated by American business adviser and executive educator John Spence, who is also the specially invited speaker at the Barbados’ Best Employers 2014 awards luncheon the day before at Hilton Barbados. The workshop is also scheduled for that venue.
“Perhaps the most challenging issues facing many leaders today is creating a culture of accountability and disciplined execution where people make and keep their promises and deliver the expected results consistently,” a press release announcing the workshop said.
“Based on extensive research and more than 20 years as a business owner and management consultant, this programme delivers John’s best information and advice on how to build an organisation that is focused on delivering positive results.”
Some of the “key elements” expected at the workshop included how to turn ideas into action, understanding the obstacles to accountability, simple and straightforward tools for creating more accountability, an examination of the cost of not executing effectively, the nine-step process for disciplined execution, and creation of an action plan to increase accountability and disciplined execution.
Caribbean Catalyst said the workshop programme “was designed specifically to take a very complex and confusing topic of accountability and strategic execution and break it down into its most simple, clear, straightforward and actionable ideas”. (SC/PR)
