AN EARLY MORNING fire destroyed The Edge Barber Studio in Fred’s Mall, Spry Street, yesterday.
The shop, which is owned by veteran barber David Carter, has been at that location for the past four years.
Carter, who has been cutting hair for well over 20 years, said he was concerned about his clients as well as his ten employees who would be now on the breadline.
“You are never prepared for these sorts of eventualities; it will set me back because my clients will be disadvantaged. I also will not be getting an income,” Carter said.
He said he would have to wait on the police before deciding his next move. However, he added that the shop was insured.
The other shops in the mall suffered water and smoke damage.  (LK)
