TWENTY-THREE WORKERS from Carib Beach Bar were earlier this morning informed by owners Philomena and Colin Coles that they were closing shop.
The Coles told the media they had sub-let the property to another company. The new operators say they want to move in by Monday and that was the reason for the short notice.
The owners further stated the Worthing, Christ Church, bar was not making any money.
Angry workers said during an emergency meeting this morning, they were told by the Coles that there were no funds to pay severance or vacation money and would have to go to the National Insurance Scheme on Monday. (MB)
