A CERTAIN TEAM is apparently split over one of their members getting a high profile job.
Cou Cou understands that some members of the team are totally against the move saying it could prove to be the proverbial straw that breaks the camel’s back, and the fall-out would be major.
They say, too, that the person presently holding the office, has not been unkind to them and that person should be allowed to continue.
Those opposing this view feel it would be a strategic move to have one of their own in that top spot. They argued that as the person knows what the team desires most, he can hit the ground running.
Besides this, that individual knows the institution, and should have no problem reintegrating himself.
If this idea becomes a reality, the spin doctors are sure to suggest it is nothing new. More than likely, they would say that in the same way a plum was plucked from among another team and placed in a position of authority and that worked out, there is no reason to suggest their move would not work out too.
In the interim, the focus of the talk has taken on a new appearance, possibly suggesting that facial hair reflects maturity and seriousness for the tough task he may have ahead.
Eagle enjoying new quarry
AN EAGLE isconsistently being seen roosting in very green pastures of late.
From reports reaching Cou Cou, it would seem the feeding is so good that he often stays in this nest well into the early hours of the morning eating his fill before taking flight to the hills in the east.
This eagle, according to those who have observed him soaring through the years, is not known for being too open about his choice of feeding ground. After all, when others know where quality food is often they try to steal it.
Clearly this eagle has no such concerns, or maybe he is protected by an unseen force.
Whatever, his reason, this eagle is clearly enjoying what some suggest is forbidden fruit in his new found nest. One can only hope that for his sake nothing gets stuck in his craw.
Big rides sending wrong signals?
TWO VERY IMPORTANT men now have really big rides.
Cou Cou understands they have taken receipt of relatively new rides that are favoured black men’s wheels, and will soon be seen traversing across Barbados, whether they’re dusty and pot-holed like Sayes Court and Marley Vale, or smooth like the most parts of the ABC Highway.
Those in the know about this suggest this move in such hard times would send the wrong signal.
But someone purportedly close to the team these man belong to, said it would be unfair to judge them based on the prevailing conditions. After all, they worked for these things and have a right to enjoy the fruits of their labour.
He also reminded that in any case the two do not have to care about what anyone thinks since they both have been around long enough to secure buttered bread for the rest of their lives.
