THE FINAL FETE on the Crop Over calendar was fun for all.
It was the Digicel/HOTT 95.3 Cohobblopot at Kensington Oval where established stars in Red Plastic Bag, Sweet Soca Monarch Biggie Irie, Soka Kartel and rising stars Lead Pipe & Saddis should have been celebrated to show that local calypsonians had come of age.
Billed as the Five Star Quality: The Galaxy Edition the “stars” and the supporting acts, which included 13 to 18 Junior Calypso Monarch Sammy G, Party Monarch Gorg and People’s Monarch Imani thrilled the slow to arrive certified feters with the hits from this year and seasons past which brought them to national attention.
