Kadooment Day underway

More than half of the bands have made their way past the judges for this year’s Grand Kadooment at the National Stadium.
The parade began on time at 8:30 a.m. but the mood was subdued and only a few sections of the individual bands – comprising mainly of feathers and bikini pieces – generated that excitement of a true Barbadian expression.
However, Renegades did seem to bring that sense of Bajan culture with the donkey cart and sugar cane. (JS)
