Focus on rights of children

THE BARBADIAN COMMUNITY is becoming too liberal, and there has been a call for changes to be made in the interest of the children.
That call came from Reverend John Rogers, who delivered the sermon at St Luke’s Anglican Church during a service to mark the beginning of tenure of the National Committee for Monitoring the Rights of the Child.
Rogers, who is also a member of the committee, pointed to some of the graphic images from the just concluded Crop Over and years past which have children in the midst, and suggested that now might be the time to “pull back”.
Rogers said some serious decisions had to be made about the future of the island’s children and what will happen to them. (YB)
