Fresh from stinging defeat and harsh criticism in the wake of their Commonwealth Games tour, the Barbados senior netball team has a chance at redemption later this month.
The team will be competing in the 2014 Americas Federation of Netball Associations Championships tournament in Calgary, Alberta, Canada from August 19 to 25. This is the official qualifying tournament for the Netball World Cup which will be held in Sydney, Australia next year.
The top two teams from the tournament will qualify.
Barbados will play in order Argentina, United States of America, Cayman Islands, Grenada, Canada and Trinidad and Tobago.
Barbados lost by one goal against Trinidad and Tobago (38-37) at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland and placed 11th out of the 12 competing nations. (SAT)
