LIAT confirms moves to Antigua

LIAT has confirmed it is reorganising its commercial structure and moving some positions to Antigua.
In officially commenting on the restructuring in Barbados which is expected to take effect from next month, the regional airline in a Press release yesterday said the goal was to “bring a much sharper focus on revenue generation”.
LIAT?also announced that a new post was being created here, that of chief commercial officer.
“Mr Lloyd Carswell is being appointed in this role on an interim basis for three to four months. Reporting to him will be an interim director of commercial operations (DCO) with responsibility for revenue management, network planning and scheduling, distribution and global sales, and a director of commercial delivery (DCD) with responsibility for sales and marketing, customer experience, and cargo.”
The release stated the DCO would be based in Antigua while the DCD would be in Barbados, with Leesa Parris-Rudder fulfilling the role.
“In order to strengthen the airline’s airport delivery organisation, a new role of customer service manager is being created. This role will be based in Barbados,” it added. (PR/CA)
