It’s one of the biggest fads worldwide today and a number of Barbadians have been getting in on the act. Yes, that’s the Ice Bucket Challenge.

Yesterday, staff and supporters of the Challenor Creative Arts Training Centre did their part to help raise money for this facility which has been reaching out to and helping differently-abled students for the past 50 years.

Despite the frigid water, they enjoyed it, doing it not once, but twice. The water simply was not too cold.

The centre’s chief executive officer Sharon Taitt (centre) and staffers Sheldene Applewhaite (left) and Gail Brooks (right) have the support of soca artist Basil Yarde Jr (left) and broadcast journalist Ryan Broome (right) in the fun. Helping to pour the water were students (partially hidden) Carlos Martin and Lance Ramsey.
