AS MANY AS 300 ACCOUNTANTS and other people in related fields were today getting a briefing on international financial reporting standards.

The day-long exercise at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre involved the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of the United States, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados and Equity Training Limited of the United Kingdom.

Equity Training’s Graham Fairclough said there were several changes to the reporting standards for this year through to 2017 and they cover areas including consolidation of subsidiary companies, information disclosures, levies and pension funds. (TY)
