Power has been restored to several communities across Barbados.

The Barbados Light & Power Company (BLPC) responded to outages in Workmans, St George; Trents, St James; Dukes, St Thomas; Rock Hall, St Lucy and Maxwell, Christ Church.

The outages occurred as a result of the inclement weather, a combination of a trough system and a tropical wave. BLPC dispatched crews to the affected areas and was able to restore power safely.

The company apologised for any inconvenience caused to the affected customers as a result of the outages. (PR/SAT)
