FOUR MEN WERE STABBED in two separate incidents as the latest spate of violent acts in public places continued in Barbados yesterday.

Three men received several chops about the body as they clashed, reportedly with cutlasses, in the River bus stand around 10:30 a.m. damaging two of the buses in the process.

And just after 5:30 p.m. a man attacked another with a cutlass in the waiting room of the Accident & Emergency Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) sending those waiting for attention in the packed room scampering.

The brazen nature of both acts prompted police public relations officer Inspector David Welch to voice the force’s concern about the incidents and their determination to deal decisively with such matters.
