IT WAS a lucky escape for the driver of a Transport Board bus as he was making his way along a country road this morning, heading to Society, St John.

Steve Haynes, 42, was at the wheel when the government-owned bus careened off the road, broke the concrete barriers and landed on its side around 6 20 a.m. on Summervale Road, near Her Majesty’s Prison Dodds.

Fortunately, the St Patrick’s, Christ Church resident walked away from the accident.

He was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for observation, and later complained of pain in the legs. (JS)
