A Guyanese crewman is scheduled to appear in the District A Magistrates Court today on several drug charges.
Thakurdeo Heeraman, 35, has been charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of just over 12 kilos of cannabis. Â Â Â
Heeraman arrived in Barbados last Saturday as part of a tug boat crew which was towing a barge with produce from Guyana.
The drugs were found in 18 packages in a garbage bag after a joint operation was carried out by the Police Drug Squad and Customs on Tuesday. (PR/SAT).
