Teachers meet forces Parkinson closure

THE PARKINSON SCHOOL has been closed as teachers there meet with their union over a dispute with principal of the institution Jeff Broome.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Education “Parkinson Memorial Secondary School, located at The Pine, St. Michael, is now closed, as a result of supervisory issues”.

Parents and guardians have been asked to collect their children or wards immediately.

The Barbados Union of Teachers called out teachers for a meeting at its headquarters this morning. (GE)
