REIN IN PRINCIPALS Jeff Broomes and Valdez Francis and avoid greater teacher dissatisfaction at their schools.
That is what the Barbados Union of Teachers’ (BUT) is calling on the Ministry of Education to do as a matter of urgency.
The call came after the union held separate talks with its membership and the ministry on the actions of both principals yesterday.
BUT president Pedro Shepherd said while there was no “direct call for the removal” of Broomes, the principal at Parkinson Memorial Secondary, during yesterday’s meeting at the ministry, teachers “did say that they can no longer work with the principal”.
