MINISTER OF HEALTH and the Environment Liz Thompson spent four hours on the road early yesterday morning helping Sanitation Service Authority (SSA) workers collect garbage.

In a move which pleased workers and brought smiles to the faces of many, Thompson collected bags of garbage, flung them into the truck, climbed on and deftly hung on while it roared through Rendezvous, Amity Lodge and other areas in the east of the parish.

According to a supervisor at the SSA’s depot in Wildey, Thompson looked like one of the regular crew members.
