A MOTHER and daughter lost all their possessions yesterday when their home at Jessamy Avenue, Bayville, St Michael, was extensively damaged by fire.

Sandra Gittens stood at a neighbour’s home watching the charred remains of the home she has occupied for over 30 years and which she purchased from Government.

She reported that she had lost everything and had nowhere to go.

Her daughter Olivia broke down in tears and was too overwhelmed to speak to the media but was overheard expressing concern about her dog.

The fire department managed to control the blaze from causing damage to the unit next door which was occupied by Ameena Charlemagne. Officials reported that only the roof in that unit was discoloured from soot.
