Fort Valley officials in Barbados

OFFICIALS FROM AN all-Black university in Georgia, United States are currently touring the Caribbean in the hopes of boosting its international student ratio.

The group from Fort Valley State University, led by president Dr Ivelaw Lloyd Griffith, is on a three-day visit to Barbados and they met with personnel from several agencies including the ministries of education, agriculture and foreign affairs.

Among other things,  they are looking to form collaborations with the University of the West Indies, the Barbados Community College and the Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic. (YB)
