Three men killed in St Vincent over weekend

KINGSTOWN – Three murders over the weekend in St Vincent and the Grenadines have pushed the total for the year to 36, the same for the whole of 2013.

On Sunday, Keon Lawrence was found dead near a riverbank in Kingstown Park after police had received reports of gunshots in the area the previous night.

According to a local newspaper report, Lawrence received two gunshots to the chest and a broken arm in August.

Two men were killed on Saturday night.

Around 7 p.m., police responded to a call in the interior agricultural district of Marriaqua, where the body of Lawerence Marks was found along the side of the road in Yambou. Police say he had what appeared to be a gunshot injury to the head.

Damien Bloucher, 26, died around 10:30 p.m. after being attacked by two men in Glen.

Police could not state if the murders were related, nor could they confirm “rumours” that some of the killings were linked to a drug deal that went sour. (SAT)
