I can’t breathe! I can’t breathe! I can’t breathe! was the strange cry which emerged from the darkness as I laid there waiting for Joe to emerge from the deep tunnel.
In spite of his cry he was still reluctant to come out because he was overjoyed and determined to enjoy the pleasures he received when he located and used silent doctor black nightshade, which is related to silent doctor joy juice. Indeed!
Last week some readers who initially discovered it through reading this column and did research are more determined to locate it and now boldly address me as the black nightshade lady. Now I am in deeper trouble.
Amazingly, in the silent doctor kingdom, a family of plants is categorised under the name Nightshades. It is a diverse and intriguing family and comprises of 102 genera and 2 800 species. The familiar members of this family are the tomato, pimento, tobacco, tamarillo, pepino, goji berry, naranjilla, eggplant, pepper (hot and sweet pepper varieties), chili powder, tabasco, cayenne and paprika.
Paprika is a member of the nightshade family and its 19 health benefits include treating acne, lowering blood pressure and providing energy. It can treat spider veins, prevent hair loss, promote sound sleep and prevent stroke and heart attacks. Additionally, paprika contains a wide array of nutrients including minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and high levels of carotenoids.
In conclusion, Joe continues to be very happy and is very passionate about researching the nightshade family. Additionally, on the website Playing With Fire And Water, the author posits: “The superstitious minds of Medieval Europe shrouded nightshade in mystery, magic and the occult.”
It is often said that nature is a mystery which we must surely unravel, and a good place to begin is in the kitchen garden with the nightshade family. The flowers, the leaves, the medicinal benefits, the magic, the narcotic value and sometimes noxious aspects will truly intrigue you.
Don’t have tunnel vision this season. It would be genuinely loving to give someone a gift from the nightshade family.
