NOT A SINGLE stroke for reforming the governance structure of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) was contained in the task force’s report and its recommendations.
And outspoken Prime of St Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr Ralph Gonsalves, says a three-member CARICOM Heads of Government cricket committee is being set up to primarily change the traditional batting line-up of the WICB.
“I haven’t seen the findings [of the task force] but from a narrow-minded industrial relationship issue, these are clearly a number of common-sense recommendations but the governance structure has not been addressed,” Gonsalves told MIDWEEKSPORT in an interview on Monday shortly after returning from the fifth CARICOM-Cuba Summit in Havana.
