Defending Barbados Football Association (BFA) Women’s League champions National Sports Council (NSC) leads the pack with seven players of the 24 invitees for the senior national team.

Mavericks with six and the University of the West Indies (UWI) with five make up the nucleus of the squad which will have their first test today against their Grenadian counterparts at the UWI’s state-of-the-art Paradise Park.

The squad features just ten survivors from the squad which travelled to Puerto Rico earlier this year for the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Women’s Caribbean Cup.

The UWI goalkeeping pair of Cadijah Mars and Tamisha Marshall retain their places and are joined by NSC’s goalkeeper Kamilah Burke who makes her return to national duty after a brief break. (ROG)
