MEMBERS OF the Dayrells Road Gospel Hall Assembly say they have been impressed by the generosity of Barbadians after the theft last week of the church’s community Christmas hampers.
Thieves made off with the gifts which were destined for a number of vulnerable people, but the kind-heartedness of corporate Barbados and individuals shone through after the theft was highlighted in the last WEEKEND NATION.
“The outpourings of donations upon hearing about the theft of items from our hall, [which were] destined for aged and struggling persons in the community, was heartwarming to say the least,” said Elder Felton Ince of the Dayrells Road Gospel Hall said yesterday.
