CHRISTMAS CAME to Sandy Lane Hotel yesterday with dancers, Santa Claus, treats for the children and the much-anticipated sandcastle competition.
Santa Claus made a grand entrance by boat along with dancers from Dancin’ Africa and a tuk band in grand style, wooing the many visitors onto the beach to get close to him.
A jolly St Nick gave away many sweets and treats to the children who flocked around him and a clown at the plush St James resort.
The Green and Palos family took the top prize in the sandcastle contest with their The Herby Love Bug.
There was a tie for second place between the Charles Mark and Ryan family with their Rasta Snowman, and the Friedman and Fuksman family with Wishing Stocking.
Master of ceremonies Alpha Jackman kept things on a smooth path once again for Christmas at Sandy Lane.
