RESIDENTS OF some St Philip districts have had a challenging Christmas season,
with taps occasionally dry and sometimes dribbling water.

“We had no water last Sunday and Monday,” Catherine Brathwaite, of Mount Pleasant, complained.

“We got some water Tuesday but Wednesday afternoon it was at a trickle, which happens when it’s about to go off,” fellow resident Matilda Eversley reported.

“The situation is so bad that we never know for sure when the water’s going to be off or on, so we’re storing whatever water we can get our hands on in buckets and bottles for bathing and other things,” said New York-based Barbadian Olga Harris, who has a house there.(TY)
