Barbados’ One-Day captain Kevin Stoute is among at least five regular cricketers from the St Michael Merchants team facing the dilemma of representing their parish or playing in a national trial match today.

Stoute, who is also the St Michael captain, is slated to lead one of the two teams in the second trial match for the Barbados Pride franchise at the St Catherine Club, Bayfield, St Philip, in preparation for next month’s NAGICO Super50 in Trinidad and Tobago.

The match starts at 9 a.m.

With Stoute expected to play in the trial match, St Michael could be fielding a depleted team in today’s semi-final against St George Pioneers in the UWI/C.O. Williams Inter-Parish Twenty20 tournament at the 3Ws Oval. (EZS)
