FROM A FUN AREA that attracted children and families to an eyesore that reflects negatively on Barbados.

That is what the Welchman Hall Recreational Park, St Thomas has become, says one concerned resident.

The man, who requested anonymity, said the park was once maintained by the Beautify Barbados team before they were retrenched as part of Government’s cost-cutting measures last March/April.

“It hasn’t been cleaned lately and . . . at present it’s an eyesore right on the road to Harrison’s Cave,” he lamented.

The resident said that no one can use the park in its current state and questioned why such a facility would be allowed to run to ruin. (SP)
