Stadium ready for heavy use

For the next few months, the National Stadium will face the brunt of Barbados’ track and field stars.

It all starts today, and custodian of the facility, Colin Spencer, is promising a freshly refurbished facility that will stand up to the rigours of the annual inter-schools sports, NAPSAC, and even into the 2015 Crop Over season.

But, the manager of Barbados’ main track and field facility will also be meeting with this country’s track and field coaches and officials to regularise use of the Stadium, since Government has spent millions to upgrade it over the last year.
