BY FEBRUARY the new Employment Rights Tribunal (ERT) should be up and running.
That assurance was given today by Minister of Labour Senator Dr Esther Byer in a media briefing at the Warrens Office Complex, in which the entity’s new chairman Hal Gollop was introduced.
Byer said by month-end the unions and employers were scheduled to name their representatives to the ERT and thereafter they will get going.
Gollop said the workers with cases before the ERT were seeking justice and he assured the tribunal as soon as it was fully constituted it would be working to achieve that.
Thereafter Byer, Gollop and permanent secretary Yolande Howard toured the offices where the ERT will be conducting their business. (SP)
