PRIME MINISTER FREUNDEL Stuart will be asked to step in following controversial statements by one of his Cabinet ministers that has led to a war of words over Sagicor’s decision to pull its headquarters from Barbados.

In a contribution yesterday on VOB’s Down To Brass Tacks, St Lucy Member of Parliament and Minister of Housing Denis Kellman questioned the insurance company’s allegiance to Barbados and suggested that Barbadians would “react to suit” following the plan to pull its corporate base from the island.

The MP, who is a regular on the radio call-in programme, repeated comments he made at a political branch meeting on Sunday, contending that the insurance giant should have “stood its ground” against Standard & Poor’s . . .
