The accident between a route taxi, driven by 38-year-old Corey Chase, of Tudor Bridge, St Michael, and a truck driven by Laron Elliott, 34, of Clapham, Christ Church, occurred around 1:40 p.m., leaving that stretch of road overlooking the University of the West Indies impassable. The van was transporting 12 passengers and a conductor, while there was one passenger in the truck.
