“ROOFING SPECIALIST” Trevor Craig lost his life in an apparent electrocution on the roof of a warehouse in Webster’s Industrial Park, Wildey, St Michael, yesterday. He was 64.

Craig, a long-standing employee of BRC West Indies Limited and a resident of Dodson Land, Black Rock, St Michael, was carrying out measurements on the roof of Marshall Trading Limited building at about 10:42 a.m. when tragedy struck.

The building is one of a number close to high-tension lines reported to be carrying 24 000 volts.

“I was crouching on the roof holding one end of the tape as we were measuring the roof with the view of carrying out repairs,” Craig’s helper John Edwards said.

“My friend told me, ‘This flashing will have to be changed’, and the next thing I heard was this explosion and he fell down like a tree.” (TY/KB)
