Teachers to graduate tomorrow

SEVENTY-SIX educators will be wearing broader smiles as they graduate from Erdiston Teachers’ College with distinctions in their respective courses tomorrow.

A total of 207 are eligible to graduate from programmes pursued during the academic year 2013-2014. The studies are the pre-Erdiston in-service Certificate in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Care and Development, in-service Certificate in Special Needs Education and in-service Certificate for Teachers in Physical Education.

There was also the Vocational Teachers’ Training Programme in Adult Education for instructors of Barbados Vocational Training Board and Samuel Jackman Prescod Polytechnic and an associate degree in Education for untrained teachers at the primary and secondary levels.

There was also the Diploma in primary and secondary education and the Certificate in Educational Management and Administration.

The graduation comes off at Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre at 6:30 p.m. (JS)
