NEITHER MEMBERS of Parliament nor the Barbados Bar Association seem to be helping John Griffiths – a client the High Court asked Speaker of the House of Assembly Michael Carrington to give back nearly a quarter of a million dollars – to get “justice”.

Former Prime Minister Owen Arthur made this charge yesterday, while declaring that the Opposition Barbados Labour Party’s (BLP) partial boycott of the House would not deliver justice to Griffiths.

“. . . In this matter, there is a victim – Mr Griffiths – and I think our first effort should be to say everything that needs to be done should be done to make sure that Mr Griffiths gets his money and that all other Barbadians in a similar situation are not savaged, whether by politicians or anyone else,” Arthur told reporters in the precincts of Parliament.
