Masked gunman robs bank

A GUNMAN, described as “frail-looking” by an eyewitness, robbed the Scotiabank Black Rock branch yesterday morning of an undisclosed sum of money.

Customer Wayne Jackman, who entered the bank seconds before the gunman, told the MIDWEEK NATION that the robber entered the branch at Shoppers’ Centre around 10 o’clock and went to all of the tellers demanding that they put money in the small plastic bags he was carrying.

Jackman said: “A guy came in the door and he dropped one of his gloves at the door. He had on a green mask and a mauve mask. He was bony, looked frail and frighten like a paro [drug addict]. He tell everybody, ‘Get back! get back!’ with this little gun which I think was mock; the barrel look too small to be a real gun. I feel it mock.
