Record karting field likely

A 40-KART GRID for the new season.

That was the boast of chairman of the Barbados Karting Association Stephen Mayers as he addressed the annual awards ceremony in the new clubhouse at Bushy Park last Saturday night.

He said the recently-arrived EasyKarts, which comprised a new division, were a boost to the sport and thanked David Simpson and his team for making it likely that 40 karts would be on the grid when the 2015 championship gets under way in two weeks’ time.

Mayers told the gathering that the new Bushy Park racing facility was the dawn of a new era.
