LOCAL AND CARIBBEAN calypso acts may soon be more visible in Germany and Europe.
Following a six-day trip to Berlin for the inaugural Calypso in Berlin programme from January 13 to 19, efforts are now underway for the four Bajan acts and two from St Lucia to return Germany in August for a calypso festival which see acts from the region interacting and performing with acts from Europe.
Red Plastic Bag, Blood, Poonka and Charles D Lewis were the Bajans in the groups and they were accompanied by Lennon Blaze Prospere and Sherwin Dupes Brice of St Lucia. They performed with a German calypso group called Lord Mouse and the Calypso Cats. (YB)
