MINISTER DONVILLE INNISS is reported to have told his constituency meeting recently that . . . “we are not getting any solid analysis of national issues coming from the Opposition party . . . .”
Well, Mr Minister, you may be able to spin that story to your constituency but the rest of the country is waiting, and has been waiting for years, to hear some solid analysis of national issues from the Government side, to be led off, of course, by your leader, the Prime Minister.
How long shall we wait for your side to give solid analysis? Reflecting on your comment we say, what a hoot.
Additionally, you say that your side should be able to sit down with the Opposition and have a reasonable discussion. I will leave Ms Mottley to recount the number of times she has offered to do just that.
You also negated the idea of “an eminent persons group”. I would have thought that ministers would seek input and advice from any number of (eminent) persons within and outside of the civil establishment as a matter of course.
No? Well, that might account for some of the decisions made by this Government.
What a hoot.
