EMERGENCY PROCEDURES at the Grantley Adams International Airport (GAIA) were put into action yesterday as an Air Canada flight made an emergency return landing.
Sources revealed a fire indicator warning had gone off shortly after the plane took off at around 4:30 p.m. headed to Toronto. The pilot then reportedly followed protocol and returned to GAIA where emergency responders took over, securing the plane and escorting the frightened passengers to safety.
No one was reported hurt but the flight gave some Christ Church residents a scare. (CA)
