‘Help, please’

ON VALENTINE’S DAY, a 44-year-old woman with full-blown AIDS could be out on the streets if she does not get a place to live.

But she is hoping that someone would show her some love and provide a roof over her head.

Unable to pay her rent for the past two years because of her inability to work, the mother of three young adults has been given until February 14 to vacate the Christ Church home she occupies with her sister and other family members.

She found herself in this predicament after the house which she and her family had occupied for over 30 years was destroyed by Tropical Storm Tomas in 2010.

The woman, whose name we have decided to withhold, has been living with HIV for the past 23 years but deteriorated with full-blown AIDS five years ago.
