All Stars series a hit

THE INAUGURAL Barbados Volleyball Association All Stars series has been touted as being a success “beyond expectations”.

Carol-Lyn Edghill, one of the driving forces behind the staging of the three-match event, indicated that the tournament was conceptualised to achieve a number of objectives which suggest that the event will be continuing.

“The primary objective was to provide an exciting package for the spectators so that we could raise funds to assist our junior programme as Barbados will be hosting the Caribbean Junior Volleyball Championship in December.

“However, the response of the players and the spectators went beyond expectations where the outcome of the matches was secondary to the entertainment package,” said Edghill. (KB)
