Ministry ‘reviewing’ the list

IT IS NOT a rumour.

There is a list from the Personnel Administration Department (PAD) with teachers to be appointed to the system, which is currently being reviewed at the Ministry of Education.

And while the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union (BSTU) has not been as public on the issue of outstanding appointments of temporary teachers in recent weeks, president Mary Redman last night joined recent calls from her Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT) counterpart Pedro Shepherd to see the list.

Redman said the BSTU has been persistently working with the schools and the ministry to have teachers who qualify identified, and continueto agitate for appointments.
